About the RNBA

The RNBA exists to encourage participation and competition in Boxing within the Royal Navy. It is also committed to improving the standard of boxing through regular coaching. All standards are catered for, from complete novice to international boxers . Beginners are encouraged to attend the boxing clubs which are run by most major shore establishments. For those with higher aspirations , who may be more advanced boxers they are also encouraged to attend area and RN team selection. The RNBA holds coaching days, command tournaments, a navy championship, navy vs county / city matches and provides a team to box in the Inter-Services. Competitive boxers from the RN regularly represent their country.

A word from the chairman...

Sport plays an important role in the Armed Forces, developing and enforcing many of the values of Service life.
Boxing in particular exemplifies the characteristics demanded of our servicemen on operations around the world, the very characteristics which set the British Armed Force apart, giving us a unique reputation worldwide.

Despite the high tempo of commitments undertaken by the Services boxing remains as popular as ever and reflects the increased interest across the country. Royal Navy Boxing has had an extremely busy and very successful season both in and out of the ring.

The outlook for boxing in the Royal Navy is very positive and with your support we are looking to build on the success of the last season.
